Pastor of Worship and Technology
Job Description
This position is an exempt (salaried) and full-time position (open to part-time as well). Further details

Worship and Technology Principle Function:
The worship pastor is responsible to the senior pastor for leading the church in the planning,
conducting and evaluating a comprehensive worship ministry.
Responsibilities:
Direct the planning, coordination, operation, and evaluation of a comprehensive worship and music ministry.
Coordinate the church worship ministry with the calendar and emphases of the church.
In communication with the senior pastor, plan the worship services of the church, including the selection of
music and other elements within the service.
Assist, as needed and when requested, with weddings and funerals that will be held in the church. Be
available to counsel, arrange, and provide music for special projects, ministries, and other church-related
activities in cooperation with appropriate individuals or groups.
Provide leadership and direction to music groups and congregational singing.
Supervise the work of the worship team involved in the worship ministry.
Work in cooperation with the appropriate persons in selecting, enlisting, training, and counseling with
worship leaders, accompanists, instrumentalist, vocalists and other musicians who serve in church program
organizations or special services. Coordinate the performance schedules of music groups and individuals in the functions of the church.
Maintain planning center (especially the worship songs and services), supplies, instruments, and equipment.
Keep informed on current music, materials, promotion and administration, utilizing them where appropriate.
Prepare and administer the worship budget according to adopted guidelines and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by the senior pastor.
Utilize technology as much as possible and whenever appropriate to enhance
worship especially Propresenter.
